Uncle Sam wants YOU…to step back in time
as Dixie D's Canteen, a 1940s USO Show reports for duty
at the Foundry Art Centre

Saturday, August 27

Doors open at 7pm, Show starts at 8pm

Drawing inspiration from the USO camp shows that entertained troops at home and abroad during World War II, this one-night only event will provide a memorable evening that is as educational as it is entertaining. Featuring period music, historical displays & reenactors, and a thrilling main show to dazzle the senses, you won’t want to miss this rousing salute to the greatest generation.

Presided over by the “hostess with the mostest,” Dixie Denier, the main show will feature a swell line up of singers, swing dancers, comedians, burlesque, and more along with special musical guests, The Gaslight Squares.

Be sure to belly up to the FuBAR for your evenings libations, and if you're hungry, pick up a Rosie the Riveter's Ration Box from the Mess Hall.

The Foundry Art Centre provides the perfect venue with a unique historical perspective - having built tanks for the war effort - this experience will not only honor the role that the building played, but allow an opportunity to highlight the determination and sacrifices of the ordinary citizens of St. Charles who help to bring victory during WWII.
